Dashwood Manor Bed and Breakfast is conveniently situated beside the ocean within walking distance of downtown Victoria, the capital city of beautiful British Columbia, Canada. This 1912 heritage home sits gracefully at the edge of scenic Dallas Road, Victoria's wonderful marine drive, by the corner of lovely Beacon Hill Park. Dashwood Manor B&B is noted for its breathtaking views of the ocean and the magnificent Olympic Mountains of Washington State.

Victoria’s location at the southern tip of Vancouver Island makes travel from Washington State or from Vancouver, BC a pleasant and easy journey by ferry or by air. The British Columbia Ferry  schedules up to 16 crossings daily between Tsawwassen, near Vancouver, and Swartz Bay, just 30 minutes north of Victoria. We recommend that you make a reservation for any ferry travel you need, especially for weekends and over the summer. Check the ferry websites for details. 

Many travellers to Vancouver Island use the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles,  the Clipper, which is a passenger-only ferry, or the scenic and leisurely Washington State Ferries ship from Anacortes. Another great treat is the foot passenger only Victoria Express that runs from Port Angeles and Friday Harbor to Victoria.

If flying is more your style, try Kenmore Air’s harbour to harbour float plane service from Seattle, or connect with Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air to Victoria International Airport. Driving Directions for Dashwood Manor

From Victoria's Airport and the BC Ferry Terminal:

The BC Ferry Terminal and the Victoria International Airport are both located near Sidney, a small town 20 minutes north of Victoria. Take Hwy 17 south towards Victoria. As you enter Victoria’s urban area, the road becomes Blanshard Street. Follow Blanshard to Fort Street, just past a large theatre called Capitol 6 Theatre. Turn left at Fort Street. Drive 3 blocks to Cook Street. Turn right and follow Cook Street to the very end to find Dashwood Manor by the edge of the sea. Easy!

From Downtown Victoria and the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles as well as the Clipper Ferry from Seattle:

Turn right on Government Street as you drive past the Legislative Buildings,  facing the Empress Hotel. You will be driving south, away from the Inner Harbour and downtown. Drive to the end of Government Street where you will find a wonderful view of the ocean. Turn left on Dallas Road. You will see Dashwood Manor Bed and Breakfast on the left as you come to the end of Beacon Hill Park and the intersection of Cook Street.

From Nanaimo and Points North on Vancouver Island:

Follow Hwy 1 which turns into Douglas Street as it enters Victoria. Travel straight into the downtown area to Fort Street. You will see the large downtown mall, the Bay Centre, on your right just as you come to Fort Street. Turn left. Drive 4 blocks to Cook Street. Turn right and follow Cook Street to the very end to find Dashwood Manor by the edge of the sea. Easy!
